Yikes, I think it's been 2 months since my last post.  Too busy living life.  I did get a lot of living out of the way though.  I love that feeling of getting caught up in something new.  It's 9:30 am, but I had a really late night lastnight, so it's gonna be at least another 5 hours until I'm a fully functioning human being...I will return, well rested, well fed, well....anyways.

True Life: "I was an 8 year old asshole"

Before I explain any further, please read this note that Sam Westfield passed to me in 2nd grade math class.

You see the blue marker on there? That was 8 year old me with my cool blue pen making corrections on a "will you be my girlfriend" note. First of all...who does that ??!? Not only did I correct his grammatical errors and miss-spellings, but jesus christ, I had the nerve to circle No.

The reason I still have the note is because he crunched it up and threw it at me two seconds later.

........Sam is now a recent graduate of Yale, and I had a drink with him at a bar downtown over the summer. Newsflash? Sam got h-a-w-t. Haha, damn.....should've circled yes while I had the chance. Oh the ones that get away........

Sushi

You know I'm part Japanese right? Seriously, how else would I have inherited my ninja-like sneaky moves? A half-asian sensation like myself cannot go at least 15 days without a sushi fix. And I had the most amazing sushi dish today at a new place we found. It was so good I had to take a picture!

ummm......it was so good that I got some to-go and ended up eating it later on that night. see below picture for fatty me eating sushi at 12 pm.

San Fran

Just found this picture from when I was in San Francisco this past May for a psychology conference that our work was in. Yes, a friend drove us ALL around the city so we could do the tourist-y thing. Found this little guy over there, and he was super thrilled to be there with us...he begged me to take this picture ;)

Here's a video that I stole from Sara's page from when we went to Muir beach overlook. I could have sat on that cliffside all day. Think I'll be taking another trip out this way this summer after we see Yellowstone!

Free time

First day I've had completely to myself in a really long time. I've been working so much lately, I feel like I can actually think about some of the important things that I've been pushing to the side. Aaaaaannd my usual weekly self-pampering routine was long due....so one hair mask, and facial scrub, and a pilates workout later, here I am....sitting on my mac, browsing ebay for camera deals, watching Sunny, and sipping herbal tea. g'day.

A project I started in the summer and never finished. I think I just grew sick of watching the same edits over and over again. I had to freeze each individual frame before putting it all together. I'll think twice next time about stop-motion film. Giving it a rest until spring...the song is "this is the thing" by fink

I had a huge bag of balloons sitting in the basement and it just happened to be one of the last nice days of the year.....so we drove to this farmer's field out in Hershey and had a blast running around and taking pictures. I really like how these two turned out, especially with the silhouettes and fisheye lens :)
